Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are malignant diseases of the bone marrow. To provide a better understanding of ALL, AML and MDS and how they develops, the following chapter will explain what blood and bone marrow are made of and how they work.
